Organized by SHRVEL Communications Inc., in close collaboration with the Toronto Chamber of Commerce and city council, SIFEM is a global event that will enable women to share their experiences and build on the skills and know-how of experts from all occupations, and offer participants and personalities in the world of business the opportunity to showcase their products, invest in new markets, forge lasting business relationships and long term partnerships. In addition to promoting trade and creating new opportunities, the purpose of this unique event is to encourage the discussion of topical issues which are at the center of women and socio-economic concerns in the world.
Beyond this spectacular trade event, the fair was established to encourage women’s initiative at the local, national and international levels to improve social cohesion and contribute to the prominence of women in the sectors of influence represented at SIFEM 2012, within a perspective of cooperation, mutual assistance and women solidarity across the globe.
Two thousand one hundred (2100) conference participants, three hundred and seventy-five (375) speakers and several thousands of exhibitors will participate in this event, where five hundred thousand (500 000) visitors and buyers from all continents are expected. SIFEM will honor women through its wide range of programs: Ecumenical gathering for peace, opening ceremony, conferences, exhibition, five continents’ fashion show, culinary art, folklore, mega concert, gala dinner, closing ceremony.
The festivities at SIFEM will be spread over a period of seven days. In addition, five out of these seven days of the fair will be devoted to harmonious celebration of the arts, habits and customs of a given continent. It is in this spirit that the greatest chefs in culinary art and great fashion designers will be gathered in a folkloric and musical ambience to the glory of the five continents.
In short, the Women International Trade Fair (SIFEM) is intended to be a hub of discovery and exchange whose main objective is to enable participants to make themselves known, establish new business relationships and partnerships, display their products and brands, launch new products, invest in new markets and position themselves on the international market, find new opportunities, look into the future with greater optimism, exchange ideas, discuss and share knowledge of all kinds.
